For details about the differences between Royal Notables and Royal Champions, please read this article in The Oak: https://oak.atlantia.sca.org/as-notables-and-champions-of-atlantia
The Royal Artisan will serve to support and inspire research, recreation, teaching, and enjoyment of all arts as they were experienced in pre-1600 history worldwide that are not already supported by another Royal Notable.
The Royal Scientist will serve to support and inspire research, recreation, teaching, and enjoyment of the sciences as they were experienced in pre-1600 history worldwide.
The difference between Arts and Sciences in terms of these two competitions is for the Artist or Scientist to self-select. Each new notable is also challenged with the work of forming these new positions. Each notable executes their work with their own style, but these of KASF 2025 being the first will set the tone for these new positions.
